The Mothers' Union holiday to Bournemouth went really well, with members staying in Bournemouth and visiting Winchester and Basingstoke as well as enjoying the beach at Bournemouth. There was also trips to see Jane Austen's house, Bournemouth Oceanarium and Exbury Gardens, steam railway and tea rooms.
We visited Old Alresford, where Mary Sumner lived and founded Mothers' Union.
This is the new window that many Mothers' Union branches contributed to, in memory of Mary Sumner.
We had a tour of Winchester Cathedral.
Winchester Cathedral had to run two services to fit everyone in !
Mary and George Sumner's grave is in the Cathedral churchyard.
The General Meeting was held in Basingstoke, and the Zambian choir sang during the worship.
