Mothers' Union 'Away From It All' holidays

The Mothers' Union in this Diocese provides holidays and days out for disadvantaged and vulnerable families.

The money to pay for these is donated by Mothers' Union branches and other fundraising, including income from Easyfundraising.  Mothers' Union also applies for grants from local agencies etc.

Most of the families holiday at caravan sites on the Norfolk coast.  Families are referred by Social Workers, Clergy, School Heads and some are referred by MU members with the back up from the Church.

Each year approximately 50 people are provided with family time in surroundings away from their normal locality.

Grants can also be given to enable children to attend a school trip or residential holiday.
