Mothers' Union members ran a stand at a recent Wedding Fayre. Sandra Griffiths, Action and Outreach co-ordinator said 'We have attended four Wedding Fayres so far, the aim of attending the Wedding Fayres is to pray for the couples leading up to their wedding. We do this by asking them to write their names, venue and date of their wedding on the hearts which are hung on the trellis board. The hearts are then given out at the next Mothers' Union Council Meeting for members to take and pray for the couples leading up to their wedding. We also offer leaflets about church weddings and answer any queries arise that couples may have, that is also the reason we like to have someone with a clerical collar in case questions arise that we don’t feel qualified to answer. This time we had about fifty couples and three quarters of them are getting married in church which is very encouraging.'
