Mothers’ Union members will be holding Blue Christmas services throughout Suffolk for all those for are hurting this Christmas.
Mothers’ Union are aware that for some people this year may be the first Christmas without a loved family member who has recently died; it may be a time that has always been difficult. The constant refrains on radio and television, in shops about the happiness of the season, about getting together with family and friends, reminds many people of what they have lost.
Mothers’ Union Blue Christmas service provides the space and time to acknowledge that sadness; also, a safe place of rest, comfort and healing. We invite all those who are hurting this Christmas and their friends who support them, to come and sit with one another in a service that speaks of the love of God for the sad, anxious, lonely and grieving.
