St Andrew's Melton

Our Branch meets in the evening and we welcome all those in the Woodbridge and Melton area who want or need to meet in the evening.  Three of our members are still in employment, hopefully this is not a record in the diocese!  We meet on the fourth Monday of the month in Melton St Andrew’s church room at 7.30 pm.

Our programme includes visitors and members speaking on a variety of topics, study sessions and more.

We raise money throughout the year by running a monthly produce stall after the Sunday Communion service.  All members of the congregation make items for the stall and proceeds are split 50:50 with the Church.  Members serve the church and wider community in a variety of ways - taking part in Messy church, Hands On, singing in the choir, Jubilee Lunch Club, Co-ordinating Fairtrade stall and more.

At a special Sunday morning service at Candlemas In January this year our Rector Revd. Paul Hambling commissioned our new Branch Leader: Janet Lavender together with our other office holders. Christine Ward then admitted Paul as our newest member.  We hope this will encourage other men in our Parish to join.  We also announced our change of name from Woodbridge Group Ministry Evening Mothers’ Union to St Andrew’s Melton Mothers’ Union.  After the service we shared a celebratory cake with the congregation.
