Fressingfield

We are a Benefice branch with 33 members representing the churches of Fressingfield, Mendham, Metfield, Weybread, Withersdale and Stradbroke. We meet at 2.30pm in the Sancroft Hall, Fressingfield on the first Thursday of each month.

Mothers' Union display of gathered families, for a local festival of Christmas traditions

Our meetings always include a short act of worship which is usually followed by a speaker on a topic related to the aims and objectives of the Mothers' Union. We end the afternoon with refreshments and fellowship.

Many of our members are involved in their local communities, for example, through 'Open the Book', a weekly coffee morning, lunches for the over 50s and visiting those in need or distress. Among other things we knit hats for seafarers, garments for premature babies, make drip-covering bags and tapestry crosses for hospital patients, send cards on Baptism anniversaries, collect items for the Women's Refuge and raise funds for the work of the Mothers' Union both at home and abroad.

View our Programme for 2017.

We welcome visitors and new members to any of our meetings. For more details please contact Anna Vessey on 01379 588389 or email.
