A lovely new way to reach out to our local communities is to make up some 'Bags of Love', to show that Mothers' Union members care. These are small bags containing a few items relevant to the situation, and almost always a tea bag, tissues, a prayer and some chocolate! The idea has come from Liverpool Diocese where members give bags of love to mums on their child's first day at school, when it can often be a very emotional parting. But there are many other opportunities to show that we care - on the birth of a new baby, at a bereavement, a new job, to welcome someone moving into the community etc.
At the Healing Service Linda Ginn presented a bag of love to Sarah Rogers, on the birth of her baby.
