Here are some ideas to help you through this period of being house-bound and isolated.
The Mary Sumner House website has a wide selection of resources, including a lovely letter of encouragement from Sheran Harper, bible studies, prayers and activities. There is also a really helpful guide to using modern technology to stay in touch with friends, family and your branch members, covering WhatsApp, Messenger, Zoom etc.
To keep in touch with Mothers' Union you can sign up for a monthly email from the Mary Sumner House team - which will bring you news about Mothers' Union projects and fundraising in the UK and worldwide.
Many churches are providing live video of services, and recorded services can be downloaded. Why not try:
Our Bishops Martin and Mike on Facebook
There is a new phone line of hymns, reflections, prayers and full services called Daily Hope which has been set up specifically for people without internet access. Simply dial 0800 804 8044 then select an option from 1 to 8 to hear your choice. So if you know someone who might like to use this free service while we can't worship in Church, then why not print off this flyer for them. It even has the MU Midday Prayers on option 8!
And to keep your fingers busy we have a range of knitting and sewing patterns including scrubs bags for care home workers - these are all on our Knitting and Sewing Patterns page.
