We are a branch of twenty one members who meet at 2pm on the 4th Thursday of each month in St Mary's church.

Our committee puts together a varied programme every year which always starts with a Communion Service in September. During the rest of the year we have visiting speakers, the Wave of Prayer in July - always in a member's garden - where we have a bring and buy sale. We also usually have an outing for tea in a local farm shop. At our November meeting we have music, poems and readings for 'Advent to Christmas', other local branches are invited for fellowship and we enjoy the first mince pies of the season.

Bures MU have made and keep topped up, Jolly Bags for children to explore during services. We provide cream teas for Open Gardens and coffee and cake for the first concert of the Bures Music Festival in July.

Members have knitted hats for the Seafarers Centre in Felixstowe for years and recently made dozens of Twiddle-Muffs for dementia patients in local care homes and West Suffolk Hospital.

We love welcoming visitors and new members.
