Grandparent's Day
Everyone is welcome to come to our third and final Grandparent's Day - bring a friend or two, they don't need to be members!
Doors Open: 10am Registration and refreshments in the foyer
10.30am: Worship. Led by Rev Catherine Forsdike, Mothers’ Union Diocesan Chaplain
10.45 am ‘Grandparents of Faith’ Jamie Swinerd Diocesan Youth and Young Adults Enabler
11.30am ‘Grandparenting faith to children, teenagers and young adults’ Panel presentation from members of the Growing Younger Team
Lunch break 12.10pm – 12.50pm
12.50pm First Workshop
13.30pm Second Workshop
14.15pm Closing time of prayer Led by Jeanette Appleton Diocesan President Mothers’ Union
Workshop options for delegate to choose from:-
· Group discussion exploring themes from the ‘Grandparents of Faith’ keynote talk: Growing Younger Team members
· Prayer based reflection based on two paintings: Led by Richard Appleton Mothers’ Union
· Mindful craft activities to share with grandchildren. Led By Cathie McGregor Mothers' Union Craft Lead
Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided, but please bring your own packed lunch.
The Mothers’ Union pop up stall will be open, featuring many resources to support grandparents for participants to purchase.
