Welcome to the Mothers' Union Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, Suffolk

The Mothers' Union is a worldwide Christian organisation with over four million members in eighty three countries. Our aim is to promote family life in its many forms.

Mothers' Union worldwide projects include: Emergency Relief Fund, Literacy and Development Programme, Family Life Programme, Worldwide Parenting Programme and Training Local Workers.

The work and projects undertaken by Mothers' Union members are underpinned by prayer. There are many different forms that are used - prayer days, retreats, quiet days, the emergency prayer chain, prayer groups and the Wave of Prayer.

Our Diocese is linked with four overseas dioceses - Lake Malawi in Malawi, Byumba in Rwanda, Jalingo in Nigeria and Lucknow in India.
