St Edmundsbury Cathedral has a special exhibition running until 4th September, entitled 'Threads Through Creation'.
Eight million stitches expressing God’s love … ‘Threads through Creation' is a spectacular display of twelve huge and beautiful silk panels inspired by the first pages of Genesis. You’ve probably read the story in black and white: now enjoy a breath-taking re-telling in astonishing colours! Artist Jacqui Parkinson spent three years, used miles of thread, and eight million stitches. It’s perfect for Christians to enjoy, and take friends to – you’ll enjoy some very interesting conversations!
Admission free. On Songs of Praise You can get a glimpse of it on BBC TV – there’s a feature on Songs of Praise, Sunday 7th August, 1.15pm and after that on BBC iPlayer. There’s more to see at: www.creation-threads.co.uk; www.stedscathedral.org instagram threadsthroughcreation
